HISTORY:
when carla bailey left america she knew she was going on an adventure. she was two semesters in paris, france. she had taken french in school, and found it a beautiful language.

on her first day of class, she stopped to have a croissant at a local bistro. there she caught the eye of the chef. he came and spoke with her in awkward english. his words were unsure and his accent clouded the words. carla proceeded to speak french, which wasn't perfect, but it got the job done. after their initial meeting, the two spent countless time together.

soon it was time to go home, and carla couldn't let go of her new found love. they decided to wed in france, before she had to return. after their flights to america, they wed again. they bought a small house, and carla finished school.

five, short years later, carla announced that they were expecting. after many arguments, the couple decided to give each child a french and an english name. the child could then decide which they preferred.

alexandre made the decision to keep his first name. he felt it was much more fun to say. when he was four, he got a surprise. he was going to have a little sister. he was rather pleased.

victoire was born on a chilly november morning. she was of normal height and weight. once she was old enough to talk, her parents aswked her what name she wanted to be called. she loved the way her father pronounced her french name. veek-twar was the sound it made flying from his tongue to her ears. she decided it was too pretty a name not to use.

school was fairly difficult for the bilingual girl. she wasn't good at english, or science. but, math was different. she'd once explained to her mom that it was the same in every language. she could understand it easily no matter the directions. history wasn't too bad. she understood it, and the dates were easy to remember.

victoire was a happy, bubbly child. she made friends easily, and never had trouble with boys. she was very good at racking up enemies, though. she often got angry and impatient with those around her. she'd screech dirty french words at them. apparently schools frown upon that sort of thing.

alexandre was a faithful brother, but at school, he was much to cool for her to be allowed to hang with him. he constantly reminded her that she was to pretend they weren't related. she had a hard time pretending she wasn't getting in the car with him.

as she got older, victoire's rage and short fuse became much more frequent. she was suspended from the local high school, and her parents desperately searched for one that could handle their daughter.

sophomore year, victoire attended a school that was for special needs children. she wasn't below normal iq or dissabled, but the school was able to help her anger. she began to kick box in her spare time, and soon her rage was barely noticeable. she became a model daughter.

soon after she began to settle down, she asked her parents if she could drastically change her hair. it had been a dark honey blonde, but she wanted to go a bubbly shade of pink to match her personality. her parents decided that was fine. it was just hair, it'd grow back, no harm in that. so she had her hair bleached at a salon, and did the pink at home.

her parents decided that she would be able to attend a regular school the next year. they began to look through various schools near their home. they decided on a prestigious boarding school. they were slightly anxious to see how she would do without their supervision, but they decided to give her a chance.

they gave her a few basic rules: don't get in trouble, don't get failing grades, and keep up your kick boxing.
