HISTORY:
Both of Phillip's parents were first-generation American citizens, whose parents had immigrated from Germany. Because of this, both were given very German-sounding names when they were born. They got married, just like any loving couple does, and about ten months after the honeymoon, Ben was born, and about a year after that, Phillip followed him.

They were both pretty normal growing up, Ben trying to watch out for his little brother, who usually didn't make the grades that Ben had previously set as a sort of standard. Their father took notice of this every time, and, on more than a few occasions, angrily questioned Phillip as to why he couldn't live up to their expectations, always comparing him to Ben and what Ben had done. Every time this happened, Phillip's dislike for his father grew more and more. And his mother just stood by in the kitchen, never saying a word, never stepping to defend him; he didn't appreciate that either.

In junior high, Phillip discovered something that became his one passion, the one thing that he could always turn to when his emotions were getting the better of him: techno music. The trippy sounds, the bass, it all appealed to him, but he didn't just listen to it; he began creating it. Using free software, he made techno music that fit his own tastes, following in the footsteps of some of his favorite artists, creating a sound that resembled the effects of an acid trip.

He continued to do this on into high school, using money from birthdays and Christmas to buy better software and recording equipment. He never shared any of his music, simply allowing the CD's, unheard by any other ears, to pile up in stacks next to his computer desk. Meanwhile, his grades continued at a mediocre level, his relationship with his parents grew worse, and his distaste for his older brother, Leo, now a senior, became more prominent.

Even in his freshman and sophomore years, Phillip wasn't particularly close to any individuals, preferring to chill at home in his room, working on his music. Well, his parents noticed this, as well as his still-less-than-competent grades, and they made a decision. They signed him up to stay in a dorm instead of at home, so maybe he would socialize and then focus on school more. Of course, this didn't really have the effect they were hoping for, since there was no telling what kind of roommate he would actually have, and he only ended up working on his music in his dorm room instead.

APPEARANCE: The attention is at first drawn, almost unintentionally, to the piercing gaze emanating from Phillip's blue-grey eyes. They seem to catch every detail, ever watchful of the surroundings and other people's actions. His mess of dark brown-brunette hair flops down over his forehead, naturally sweeping in one direction. His face is angled, with a strong jaw and a cleft chin that actually look decent with the rest of his features. He is somewhat built, though not as large as most of the jocks, since he isn't particularly athletic. He is of average height, about 5'11".
