HISTORY:
The only thing Rhi remembers of his father is laughter.
A bush of white roses towering over him, scratches beading red, and laughter.
Rhi was born into a poor family in Hamilton, Scotland, in a small farmhouse at the end of Orchard Brae, a pretty place filled with trees and the promise of faeries and wonder. He had a fair childhood, not getting most things he wanted but content anyways, a simple child with an eternal smile on his face.
His father left when the boy was hardly old enough to go to school, not sticking around long enough to see his second son, Caeden, be born into direct poverty, and leaving the family with not a penny to their name.
Rhodrhi took immediate responsibility of his family; his mother was depressed, and his smaller brother had scoliosis, a flux of back problems that left him almost crippled. He had to find a quick solution to the debt via hospital bills they were drowning in, and he resorted to stealing what small amounts of food he could get his hands on, going to soup kitchens to bring home food, and eventually having a run-in with the law, where he met the love of his life.

Rhi’s saving grace was Eylas Redburn, though many would not think it so.
At fifteen, Rhi had hardened features from working too hard to survive, and was sitting in the jail cell, burning up with anger at letting himself get caught, his mind flashing back to the food he had left behind in his running haste. His most vivid memory was that of his first love, the rich and powerful politician Eylas Redburn walking past the row of cells before stopping at his. His eyes were a fire, burning him, this young boy who had never felt a single spark of sexuality in his tireless life, and he was sortof. Content, maybe, for the first time in 8 years.
Eylas chose Rhi, paying the bail to his jailer with no thought – more money than Rhi had ever seen in his life – and taking the young boy with him. For two years, Rhi would be this man’s sex slave, doing everything Redburn wanted for a sum of money he would receive at the end of each week – a sum greater than any you’ll receive, I assure you. And with this Rhi got his family out of debt and into a quite powerful position, for they now had both money and influence.

Rhi developed trust issues; he knew that the man was cheating on him with his wife and most likely many other suitors, but stayed with Redburn because of the incredible love he developed for the man along the way – and of course, the money he would gain from pleasing the man.
Of course, Rhodrhi was heartbroken when Eylas killed himself.

Rhi learned all of the schooling he needed from Redburn, who cared for him and educated him with the finest resources, but decided to leave Scotland and come to America; the memory of Eylas haunted him everywhere he turned, and his family was now rather well-off.

After getting emancipated, Rhi found a cheap, crowded apartment with a couple of roommates in the thick of the city and manages to get by on the money he makes from working stock at a shoe store. Rhodrhi decided to give up his current home for a chance of enrollment at Daze after realizing how essential his future is, and strives to get his rocky life on the right track.

APPEARANCE: pale olive skin, black hair, pale green eyes. high cheekbones and always has a bit of stubble marking his pretty face. very. pretty. is lean, slight muscles from swimming freshman year. the back of his head is died a copper orange-red, and is short. wavy, thick black hair frames his face and he tends to wear worn tshirts and denim. mostly black. has a very intimidating demeanor. is 5 foot 11 inches tall. wears makeup when he's in a good mood and smirks to piss people off. his face looks too hardened, too cold for how pretty it really is. a scar on his left eyebrow, and a slightly uneven nose from it getting broken when he was younger mark what would be an otherwise perfect face.

working with cars, reading, cooking, eating foods he cooks. he eats a ton.
people who are funny, kind, and stand up for themselves are always good in his book - even if he doesn't warm up to them right away.
DISLIKES: small children, loud people, shaving, people who are spoiled, his father, and country music.
FEARS: geese and swallowing pills.
SECRET: uses pansexuality as a cover up for him largely preffering men.
GOAL: scholarship to MIT - he'll do anything to get in.

Arrogant to the point where you want to kill him, sarcastic, witty, and intelligent as hell.
