HISTORY:
Michael and Annamarie met when they were both trying to make it in Hollywood. They made a deal with each other- until she gained her first real modeling contract, and he made a hit movie, the two wouldn't get married. As in love as they were, it drove them to do their very best. When they did get married at 28 (Michael) and 26 (Annamarie), their names were on the tongues of everyone in Hollywood. They were the new hot items on the market, and they were most definitely profiting from it. In less than a year, they had a lavish mansion in Hollywood Hills, and paparazzi were documenting everything Annamarie did.

Their first and only child was a beautiful baby they named Katniss. She was their light, their sunshine, their everything. The two of them lavished attention on the girl. She got the best of simply everything, and once she was old enough to talk, anything she asked for, she got. She went everywhere with her mother once she was about five, learning everything about modeling. A tutor came with her everywhere. She was lacking in no areas. She was growing into a beautiful young woman, and she was extremely smart, too.

She started modeling at a young age and appearing in commercials. She even had a few small roles in some sitcoms. Paparazzi loved the girl with the shockingly blond hair, who would speak with the Russian accent everyone loved in her mother. She was adorable, and oh, did they ever adore the girl. She seemed like the sweetest little thing ever, and was nicknamed "Princess" by the photograhers.

She was a princess, in the sense that she was spoiled and treated like one. But she had a mean streak to her. If she didn't get what she wanted, she'd manipulate and bitch until she did. Her mother started leaving her at home when she went off modeling, and so, she was on the set with Daddy much more. Because of that, she started noticing things. Things no young woman should know about her father's life. For example...the way the actresses were a bit too friendly with him. And the way he returned the affections. The inappropriate comments that were exchanged.

One day, she went to find her father, who was in a meeting with one of the actresses in her dressing room. What she found there made her temper shoot up. She never would've thought her father was the cheating sort- but there was the proof, right in front of her. He tried to explain it away, but how could you explain away sex with a woman who wasn't your wife? You really couldn't.

She was left with a hard decision. Katniss' mother had no idea....but Kat really felt she had to know. About a week later, she begged to go to New York with her mother on a photoshoot. It was there, over dinner, that she confronted her mother. She told her all she had seen, and to her surprise....her mother simply gave her a tired smile. "Honey," she'd said, "I already know. I choose not to pay attention. I love your father too much to leave him."

Shortly after that, Kat started closing herself off. Her parents' marriage was a lie. The laughter, the love they showed for the cameras, it was all a lie. She refused dinner with them, refused anything they offered except money. They had plenty, and she had no issues spending a LOT of it. Soon enough, her parents became worried about her enough to tell her that they thought it was best if she left for a while.

At first, she truly fought it. She started acting out more and more, vanishing for days on end, partying, spending all the money she could. She wanted to show them they couldn't control her. She was the princess of her school, right hand woman to the queen bee, envied by all. Everyone wanted her life. Everyone, that was, except for her. And it didn't take long for people to start seeing cracks in her facade. That was when she knew she had to give in and transfer, because nobody could know what her life really was like.

And so, she was sent to Daze High.
