HISTORY:
Ever since he was young, Jared seemed to get into fights of all kinds. Whenever a dispute arose, he always wanted to solve it himself, even if the only way it could be done was violently. He earned his fair share of discipline in elementary and middle school for participating in brawls, of which he always came out of on top, thanks to his lifelong karate experience.
High school saw much more peace for Jared, largely because this school held more peace itself. Other people didn’t openly fight, so neither did Jared, but he still stood ready to spring into action should justice need to be served. He started a circle of motley friends who grew closer every year, consisting mostly of people who abandoned their current cliques, but still kept their previous images.
Junior year, when he was 17, Jared attracted the attention of a certain Victoria, and she asked him out. He accepted, and the two started dating. The relationship grew slowly, with Jared making sure to build a solid bond of trust before anything else. After a month, Victoria admitted that she had slept with several boys, almost strangers, before she met Jared. Offended and horrified, Jared cast her out and refused to talk to her. Not only had she abused the honor of sex, but she had kept such a secret for so long.
Later that year, a friend, Sharon came pounding on Jared’s door at night. She was bruised and sobbing, and told him that her boyfriend, Harry, had starting beating her, and threatened suicide and/or murder if she told anyone or left him. Jared did everything he could to comfort her, telling her that she was safe as long as she was with him in this house. A few minutes later, Harry knocked on the door, and demanded to see Sharon. Jared refused, and stood adamantly in the doorway. After many shouts and threats, Harry drew a pocket knife and attacked Jared. Jared easily disarmed him and brutally beat Harry unconscious.
Harry had Jared arrested and charged with assault. Jared also had Harry arrested for assaulting Sharon. Jared was truthful in court and admitted to everything he did, and nothing he didn’t. Due to very many technicalities and errors in the trials, Both Jared and Harry walked away without any legal punishments. Jared’s family was concerned though, and hired a psychiatrist for Jared. It was the psychiatrist that made the extremely misinformed recommendation that Jared should attend Daze High.
