HISTORY:
evangeline ryan, or as her friends call her, evan ryan had a opportunistic upbringing. born into wealth, she had the the options in the world forced upon her, causing a large rebellious side. She hails from a small little town called Olean in upstate New York. She's only been to the City a few times, so don't even ask. Her parents had some luck in their stock exchange, and were able to be pretty well off for most of evan's life. she had horses, and was in gymnastics. but none of that really stuck with her. it wasn't until she was ten when she got her first guitar that things changed.

she fell in love with her guitar instantly and the thing has never really left her hand. she took a few guitar classes when she first got it to help with those pesky bar chords, but soon after she was writing her own songs and putting on shows for her parents. she was involved with her pop warner cheerleading as well as volunteering at the old folks' home (per her parents).

evan and her parents had quite the relationship. her parents were incredibly religious. her mother was stacey wanted her to be prim and proper, even though she herself came from the bronx. hard work was stacey's story that got her to where she was, however after that, evan pretty much would describe her as a poser. pretending to be posh, in the tiny gossipy town of olean. evan hated her mom's fake attitude, and swore to herself to always be true. her dad was actually from money, so his attitude was long practiced and very old fashioned. all the more reason evan ryan didn't get along with him either.

evan had a very strict life and very organized routine. with classes and scheduled meal times in hopes to make her an "elegant swan". she hated when her parents would force her into things, so she'd ditch her piano classes and smoke pot with her friends instead.

so when evan got her first boyfriend at thirteen, her parents barely let her out of their sight. home by nine, no boys allowed in her room. things became even more strict. things got even worse when she announced she was leaving her boyfriend for her best friend shannon. the religious battle ensued. and her parents sent a cloud of hate and anger. she got some pretty good music out of this experience.

eventually, she ended up being shipped off to her grandparents in san francisco to go to boarding school. her parents hoped that this school away from everything she knew would ship her up.
