HISTORY:
Gerold and Lily met at a resturant where Lily worked. Gerold was there a lot with his friends, mostly because they also had a liqour license, and since both him and his friends were alcoholics it seemed like a good place to go without constantly being at the bar. Gerold had had alcohol problems for pretty much all of his adult life. Lily came from a pretty ordinary family, with a little above average income, and hadn't really been close to any major problems during her life. They fell in love, and after a few difficult years Gerold was completely sober. They decided to have a child and Jake was born.

He grew up in a loving household, even if they were always pretty poor, and he had a good life up until he was 8 years old, when his mom got sick from cancer and died shortly after. This sent his dad right back into his alcoholism, which just seemed to get worse and worse.

Eventually he lost his job, and Jake had to find ways to pay the bills, not to mention his dads alcohol habits. By the age of 14 Jake was making all of their money by selling himself, and that's still how he makes his (and his dads) money. Nowadays he tends to make sure he makes all of the purchases though, and only leaves money for his dad when he really doesn't feel like fighting about it (which seems to be the case more and more these days). He tries to spend as little time as possible at home, but still comes home now and again to make sure his dad isn't dead or something.

Saying Jakes grades ”got worse” after his mothers death would be an understatement. It's more like they stopped excisting altogether and he should probably be more than one year behind. The reason he isn't is probably a mixture of bribary and having teachers that either took pity in him, or that he could manipulate into passing him.

He failed his first year of high school and was forced to redo it, changed high schools to a place that was more open to bribary and managed to pass more or less only on that. He changed schools again to Daze high because he's hoping that the fact that it costs money will motivate him to actually attend class, since he's PAYING for them.

APPEARANCE:
Jakes appearance varies alot depending on how he's feeling. He has periods where he forgets to eat, or looses his apetite, and spends most of his time sleeping or doing drugs to stay awake. During these periods he'll be thinner and look more tired than usually, obviously. Despite this he cares alot about his appearance, which means he tries his best to look as presentable as possible. Since he's not very tall or well-trained he's always a bit tinier than most guys his age, even during the times when he takes care of himself.

Compliments or being apperciated: He is so weak for compliments its not even funny.
Animals: Who doesn't love animals. Anything that's fluffy and cuddly can't be bad. Furthermore they are company as much as any human and company is the best thing ever according to Jake.
People in general: Jake hates being alone with a passion. He'd sooner be with someone he hates than be alone. So unless you're a total jerk he can probably find a way to get along with you pretty well. And even if you are he'll probably prefer to be with you anyway instead of walking away. He'd rather loose a fight to someone than be alone any day.
Partying: Obviously his lifestyle promotes alot of partying, and so party he does. Sometimes he stops for a while though. Just to make sure he still can.
David Bowie: Jake likes David Bowie, mostly because his mom used to listen to him all the time. However he doesn't listen to him alot himself, since it reminds him of his mom, which can make him sad, and besides his dad will throw a fit if he even mentions him.



DISLIKES:
When people don't like him: he won't stop at anything to try to change their opinion. Unless it's mutual, in which case he will probably be as annoying as possible.
People who ask for respect without having earned it: he can be a pain in the ass to teachers he doesn't get along with, for example.
Math: Its alot harder if you're only there for about 20% of the time.
Technology and internet: He hasn't had a mobile phone for more than about a year (it didn't really seem like a worthwhile expense). Neither has he been using things like facebook or.. well, a computer, even half as much as the average person his age does. He's not very good at it, he's not used to it and it seems a bit creepy to him. Anyone can tag him in pictures and anyone can see it? Why? That just seems rude.
Injustice: Not alot of people likes it when things are unfair, but this is something that can really set Jake off. Probably because it's such an easy thing to direct anger at.
FEARS:
Being alone, STDs, becoming an alcoholic or addicted to something else.
SECRET:
He doesn't usually keep a lot of secrets, he's pretty open with what he does since he expects it to get out anyway. However he's not very found of talking about his parents, and so his life with his dad can be considered a secret, as well as what happened to his mom. It probably wouldn't be very hard to make him tell you about it, but its the closest to a secret he'll come since its pretty much the only thing he considers to be private to him. This meaning, you'd probably have to be considered a friend before he'd actually talk to you about it.
GOAL:
He'd prefer for his dad to recover from his addiction but at this point the primary goal is to move out and get away from him. He doesn't, of course, even if he probably could, since he's afraid his father won't survive without someone checking up on him.
He does think about getting some sort of education so he doesn't have to do what he does anymore, but at the same time he just doesn't seem to have the motivation to be in school enough for that to happen. He still considers it a goal, though. Just a pretty far-off one
MENTIONABLES:
Worthless at physical confrontations; which unfortunately doesn't mean he always stays away from them.
Is terribly bad at remembering things most of the time, and is also very bad at remembering places and finding his way around both the city and the school. He's almost always lost somehow.
Can be incredibly stubborn. If he doesn't want you to be right he's not going to admit you are. Even if it's about bananas being blue. The same goes for most of the things he decides to do. Unfortunately this usually doesn't apply to homework.
Has a tattoo of a star on the upper side the right side of his butt. He got it while drunk and can't really remember why.
