HISTORY:

Coraline was born in a rustic home in Arizona, USA. She was brought into the world by a mother who was a chef and a father who worked as a web designer. They had been together since they were teenagers and lived a fairly traditional life. However, the family shared a very liberal standpoint. Outside of their day jobs, Rosa and Jackson were social justice activists. They helped young women who had been victims of domestic abuse. They also ran an organization called "The Dupree Retreat", which helped empower women who had experienced abuse, depression, eating disorders, and sexism in the work place. They would even open their home to women who needed a safe place to stay. Coraline was deeply influenced by her parents' compassionate work while she was growing up. She has carried an incredibly sensitive heart in her and is willing to stand up for people.

As a child, Coraline was home-schooled with her siblings. She found that she had a great passion for reading, writing, music and art. As a child, she flourished with creativity. She read comic books all day. She drew her own characters. Coraline began to even write songs about her pictures. However, this abundance of creativity had also come with a few other unwarranted traits. Coraline suffered from anxiety as a child. Her greatest hardship was her panic attacks, which were debilitating and embarrassing.

When she turned 13, her siblings and herself formed an indie-folk band called "Daisy". They all enjoyed writing songs together. Cindy played the guitar, Wes played the drums, Sandra played the piano, and Coraline sang and played the guitar as well. Their parents were supportive and helped the young group find local gigs. The group retained some popularity in Arizona and the surrounding states for a while. They even had their first home-recorded song play on the local radio station. Coraline enjoys singing for the family band and finds it fun to rock out with them. They've been a band for three years, and both the music and the family's activism expanded.

Coraline has recently decided to try out real school and has applied to Daze High. She still suffers from panic attacks and has recently been experiencing bouts of depression. However, she is definitely full of life when she isn't depressed. She has a quirky personality and loves to dress up in vintage sun dresses, sweaters, and shoes. She still writes and is a very talented drawer. Coraline is afraid of leaving the comfort of her supportive home to live with new people. She's decided to give the band a break for now, and to focus on her studies.
