Both parents work as wealthy business partners for a chain of soups and tuna lines that are very successful in the states. Her mother's 40th birthday has just past while her father is due to turn 43 this year. Unfortunately, her only sister - and twin - Sophia, passed away when Skylar was fourteen due to a pool accident where she drowned.
HISTORY:

Most people have heard the name 'Skye Valentine' in the past two or three years. She transferred from another boarding school on the coast in the eve of her junior year, after only mildly avoiding a court case over the matter of sexual acts with her teacher. that was the first time people really heard Skylars name. The next time was after only a few months at Daze, when suddenly this promiscuous creature had some, uh - man candy? - on her arm. And this man candy went by the name of Gerard Brooks, the resident sociopaths. People could have not been more right when they said opposites attracted.

Skye grew up with her mother, father and twin sister Sophia on the coast of California for most of her life. Both the young Valentine girls were enrolled in private education to be offered the best that her parents could afford - and money was never an issue. The real dilemma was that Sky didn't believe schooling was important, and found it almost a gimmick, or a game that she could play, to see how much time she could take off school. Sophia and Skye spent most of their time sleeping in dormitories, and barely visiting home unless they were off on some extravagant holiday with their parents to an unknown place. It was all quite materialistic, really.

It wasn't all happy sailing after the passing of her little sister Sophia after their fourteenth birthday - it destroyed her. The two girls never really were best friends, but losing a family member is always harsh on anyone, especially when you share most of the same DNA as them. Skye became very familiar with Counselors offices from then on out, but she never really saw much use in talking to someone she barely knew about such private things that even herself didn't want to think about, let alone share with some stranger.

Highschool was a shockwave of confusion and disorientation. Skye felt as if she didn't belong anywhere, and after two years of dealing with the loss of her sister, Skye found other departments to put her time and effort into - boys. It was the first time since kindergarten that she had actually been in contact daily with the other sex, and to no surprise at all Skye began to become very interested in them.

Many sexual encounters and two years later with a minor sexual assault under her belt, her parents had pulled the final straw and pulled their daughter from private education and dumped her in a public boarding school - Daze. People had heard rumors about this famous girl who seemed to open her legs for anyone, and for a while Skye was actually proud, because it gave her a name, people wouldn't avert their eyes from her in the corridors, because they knew exactly who Skye was, and she was glad she was popular.

Gerard Brooks, and I quote "The most rude, arrogant and frustrating person I have ever met." from Skye Valentine. The two met at school, and for some totally unclear reason he was stuck in an alley way one night when Skylar came to rescue him. Since that night, the two have been dating - on and off happily - for the past two years. The catch? He's a sociopath who doesn't believe in love, while it's quite obvious that Skye turns to putty in his hands. The two are dynamic and quite funny at times, but Skye is happy where she is and that's all that matters.
