HISTORY:
Chantel was born 17 years ago, in a small city in Canada. For the first couple years, she grew up as most children did, loving parents, adoring family, the whole 9 yards. At the age of 10, she found her first crush. A boy named Jason Szorin.
It wasn't until she was just through her 11th birthday that one of her friends told Jason he liked her in front of all the "cool" kids, making it a point to put him under the pressure of keeping his cool friends, or telling them that he liked her. The decision wasn't hard for him. She was laughed at and scorned for "thinking she was cool enough for him". Had it been later on in her life, she'd have just laughed it off, told them her friend was being a prat, and moved on, holding herself up even though she wanted to break down and cry... but she was only 11, and the tears flowed fast, giving her the unoriginal nickname of "crybaby". At the age of 13, she started acting hyper and eccentric in the hopes to make herself seem like a clown and a funny person.
It gave her a new reputation, one that didn't seem all that better than her 11 year old title of "Crybaby". "Druggie". So now, instead of being known for crying over a boy, she was now considered a drug addict, which made her uncool by default. It gave her attention she hadn't wanted, and once again gave her a negative status among her peers.
At 16 years old, her new persona seemed to get out of hand. At first, she was picked on only at school, and she could escape while she was home. But of ourse, small community meant nothing was hidden from the rest of the community, and her community all believed she was a drug addict. Unlike her peers, however, it wasn't just during school she was singled out. She couldn't even go into a store without getting nasty looks from parents. it eventually reached the point to where the community wanted to be rid of her, and after receiving such a hostile reception whenever they went into town, her parents decided moving was their best bet. They chose a large city, sure that she wouldn't feel the need to act out in such a large group. How wrong they were.
New York was the worst possible place for her. The family lasted 3 weeks in New York before Chantel got plastered all over the school with pictures of her face covered in mascara and the words "will wigg out for crack" under it. Once again, she became the talk of the school, and her family decided to move.
4 states, and 6 schools later, the family finally settled on a house they thought was nice, in a district she SURELY wouldn't be labelled or paid enough attention to, and a school where the kids wouldn't know or care who she was. At 17 years old, she's started posting videos of herself singing and making music videos, hoping to remove the "druggie" persona she'd had, and trying to give herself a new start.
