FAMILY: Klause Ryder (Deceased), Anthea Ryder (Deceased), Mikayla Ryder (Adopted younger sister), Matilda Chance (Distant aunt, and guardian).
HISTORY:

He was born with ADHD. His sister was adopted at 2, when Jacob was 5. Their mother was a school teacher, and their father was an engineer. They were always happy, but they had trouble with money. The worst part was when they found out that their mother had cancer. She said that she was going to be OK, but they never had enough cash to operate. Anthea died.

Their father was depressed. They couldn't make ends meet. They had to drop out of school and be home-schooled. Truthfully, this was probably a better education. While Klaus was at work one day, the building caught fire. Their was an explosion. Klaus never got out.

Their lives seemed really sucky while they were in an orphanage. No one would adopt. They were just about to be sent away to a boarding school, when Matilda came to get them. Matilda was their workaholic aunt. She was apparently the only surviving member of their family.

Matilda was distant. She doesn't talk very much, and she is barley ever home. Jacob is truly raising his sister. Currently they are going to school, with a Matilda still their guardian. They're both outcasts, and don't enjoy school much. Jacob is really geeky, but he is unpopular enough to not be able to hang out with his fellow nerds. He'd also a bit of an emotional. He's a couple things, it seems.

APPEARANCE: He has shaggy, jet black hair, always in a sweep. He sometimes keeps a beanie to control his hair. His left eye is silver, while his right is brown-green. He's 5"6' and kinda scrawny. He wears plaid button ups, opened over graphic T-shirts. He prefers baggy jeans with holes, and converse.
