HISTORY:
Heems was born in suburban New Jersey in 1996. From a young age, he was victim to racial profiling. Despite his heritage, Heems knows very little Punjabi and has never been to India. He was raised as Sikh, but denounced his religion upon turning fifteen. He and his parents began to have trouble from that moment on.

Himanshu began experimenting with drugs- namely, marijuana and ecstasy. He began drinking, smoking, and sneaking out. Due to parental pressure, he maintained good grades, but only put in the bare minimum of effort needed to make the A. He had always been exceptionally bright, and thus did not need to try very hard at all to keep up. He still had problems with his parents, though.

Heems and his parents began fighting almost constantly. He got into fights at school (although they were almost never physical), he didn't try hard enough, he snuck out, he disobeyed rules. Anamika and Rohan finally got fed up and sent him to boarding school. But, having emigrated from India before Himanshu was born, they did not quite understand American culture. They were under the impression that all boarding schools were similar to military schools.

This was how Heems convinced his parents to let him go to what was probably the least restrictive boarding school in the entire country. Since he was fifteen, he has come to appreciate the Sikh religion. He does not actively believe in or participate in it, but has devoted a portion of his time to educating people. This includes correcting bad impressions of Sikh or Indian culture.

APPEARANCE: Heems is five feet and ten inches tall. He weighs about 160 pounds. His eyes are brown and his hair is black. His hair is a bit curly, but he usually keeps it short enough that it isn't very. He often has 5 o'clock shadow and likes to dress in vintage clothing.
