HISTORY:
Who' have thought that that little girl from the ghetto would actually come so far. Shontelle was bound for disaster: she was just a kid who was born in the ghetto of ChiTown - Chicago. Her parents weren't the ricest: they had just about enough money to survive, but not to move on. There were constant gun fights, stores being raided. People lived in fear each day of being ransacked. Gangs in the area often killed, coldheartedly spilling the blood of innocent people who stood up for what they believed in. That's how her brother was killed. Caught in The Windy City's No-Mans-Land.

Shontelle was the kid from the ghetto who was someone else. She didn't want to live in such a place. Her family were pretty much penniless: they just survived each month with their rent and house-hold expenses. All of the money that they earned in their corner shop seemed to just go through their fingers, like liquid through a shopping basket.

She went to school like any other kid. The school was filled with all sorts of ethnical and social misfits. Because of her general views, she was an unpopular. A misfit, like everyone else at the school. Teachers didn't care. Classmates didn't care. School was just another empty place which people used as an escape. An escape from the gangsta shit that was happening outside of their homes every single day.

To get away from this, she drew. Drew and drew and drew. Fashion designs. They were the clothes she wanted to wear when she had enough money to get out of the ghetto, and make something of herself. She drew as a hobby: it wasn't like unpopulars had many friends, after all.

No-one called her Shontelle. It was such a strange name. Her parents wanted her to have a name that didn't sound as ghetto, as she wanted her to have prospects. Nicki always loved this line. She'd turn around and just say that there were no prospects. Her parents were strict, always telling her to study. Always trying to give her hope. There is a world outside of here, Nicki. Just run for it."

End of her sophomore year. It was dark, as Nicki returned home after finishing a Prom dress that she had designed when she was young. Her parents had just sold their car for the little money it was now worth; the price had depreciated quite a bit. Besides. Nicki had enough money on her for the bus route. Rain fell hard on her as she ran out of the school with her bag on her shoulder, umbrella shielding her from the harsh droplets. She lost her map. School was locked. On impulse, she asked a really dodgy man, as he was the only one who was actually there, for directions.

"'Scuse me, where's the nearest bus stop?"

He took advantage of the little knowledge of her where-abouts, leading her to a dark alleyway. Feeling suspicions, she tried to run. He caught her, leading her to his car at gunpoint. Using the self-defence moves she learnt at school, she kicked him out of the car, locking it from inside. Nicki turned the key and used all of her knowledge of cars to run him over. One Crunch. Two Crunch. She was more than freaked. One second away from being abducted. One second away from a murder case in his favour. Bailing, she took a taxi back home. There was only one way to escape. Changing her name and relocating.

Dying her hair jet black, with pink tips, she started to use Nikita, her middle name, as her first. The final thing was to make her getaway. Using money from the car, and various loans, Nikita transferred to Daze. They wouldn't find her there, right?

Nicki soon left Daze, fearing the feds were on her back. she missed home, and everyone around her. Soon enough, she was on a train back to Chicago. As soon as she got there, she was arrested and thrown into Juvee for theft back before she left to go to Daze.

Going to Juvee, Nicki had time to think about everything that she did. She knew that what she had done was wrong, but had never really taken full responsibility. Her father found it the hardest to bear - she was his pride and joy, and he couldn't see why she would go and steal something. She was only in there for 7 months, luckily, as the things she had stolen weren't of much value. She couldn't afford them. She spent her time there thinking of new designs.

A $100 dollar watch and four pretty $40 dollar dresses. Luckily, they were under $300 dollars overall - she could have been locked up in prison for a while. 5 years. Nicki was grateful that she had dropped the earrings when she ran out. Unluckily for her, the CCTV camera caught her on tape on her way out. And karma came to bite her ass.

When she got back, she went straight back into making more dresses. Luckily for her, the family of the guy she killed hadn't pressed charges. Yet. So, as quickly as Nikita could get her dad to, she was on her way back to Daze. She was going to graduate. And go on to make her own label. For now, she was going to sell all of the designs she had made.

APPEARANCE: Nicki has gone the whole way and died her hair blonde, to be the barbie that she had always wanted to be. She's a little slimmer than before, after learning that diabetes ran in her family. Oh yeah, because blonde wasn't enough, she's also got pink streaks! Nicki's fashion hasn't really changed; she's still a fan of asian fashions and dresses in a more toned down "Gyaru" style. To make up for her height, she's in heels a lot. Nicki is also often in an outfit she's made herself.
