HISTORY:
Clarence was born to David and Samantha Dawson on a cold Christmas Eve night. David, a Hollywood film mogul, was easily able to provide for his wife and firstborn son, who had only the best of everything growing up. When Clarence entered school, his parents were pleased to learn that he was smarter than they'd thought. His reading levels were above average and he often read through naptime in kindergarten. Unfortunately, the rest of his peers caught up through the rest of elementary school - so Clarence tried to outdo them anyway, stubbornly continuing to read and expand his vocabulary.

As a result, he ended up with a disposition and manner of speech that got him made fun of in middle school. He was often a target of class pranks. When he told his parents, they took extra care to make it stop through a hefty donation to the school (and talking to the other kids' parents). From then on, the principal and teachers cracked down on the bullies and Clarence was happy.

His first high school, although private, was still fairly large. It was one where many celebrities and CEOs sent their kids to school. Clarence noticed this time around that you can find outcasts anywhere, and he made good friends within a few weeks. His little sister Sophie was born, and everything seemed perfect. However, a scandal occurred at the movie corporation where his dad worked. It turned out that his father had been embezzling money from the company - for what, Clarence didn't know - and was arrested.

Devastated, his mother began to search for ways to get out of LA. She eventually decided to move north and send her son to Daze while she and Sophie lived with family. This, she thought, would move them all out of the limelight and turn back the inevitable waves of paparazzi. While he would miss his friends, Clarence didn't mind the move. He used the wait period before his transfer as an opportunity to begin teaching himself guitar and quietly began a new chapter in his life.

APPEARANCE: Clarence's dress, like many others', depends on his mood. If he's feeling insecure, he'll try to dress up a little; if he's feeling particularly confident, he'll wear something ridiculous to get himself noticed. His mother was always very fashionable, so he owns a bit of current clothing from birthdays. He owns a lot of hats, especially winter ones. He tries to keep his hair short enough so that he doesn't have to do much to it in the mornings. Standing at 5'11, Clarence is about of an average build, if a little shorter than most.
