HISTORY:
Austin was born premature on a hot Summer's afternoon, preferrably making the birth much harder for Austin's mother Araminta. She gave birth to the boy in a hurry and as soon as the baby was brought into the world it was tubed up and taken for testing. It had heart failure, which meant that its sight wouldn't be the best under warm temperatures, stress, and sport. He was also a small and weak little thing. He spent weaks afterwards curled up in the glass case, opening his big blue eyes wide to stare out at his parents watching him with held-high heads and five-year-old brother Slater poking the glass and talking to him in a muffled tone. Soon the baby got stronger, and then was able to beat the odds and go home in a matter of weeks.

Within going home the Mahones noticed Austin grew a love for everything sporty. He would wear his father's jerseys, run around in circles all day and tire everyone out, and he was very hard to entertain without getting bored halfway through it. After the birth of their next son Danny, Austin joined kindergarden where the teachers described him as outgoing and a pleasant little boy, but very hard to control. Austin was generally a good kid but hated people trying to take responsibility over him. He wanted to be independant, and insisted even back then that he was more than able to look after himself.

Austin adored sports. He grew a muscular build fro working out to train for football and rugby, something the girls noticed. He often took runs to clear his head, which he would have to do most of the time after the twins were born. The house kind of plunged into chaaos with whiny infants and arguing parents and Austin could barely stand to be in there for a few minutes. After getting into an argument with his father and getting a beating and a smash around the face with a glass bottle, Austin was terrified to live there now. But his mum insisted it was a one off. However, his dad continued to drink and be heavily violent upon his family, all of the time Austin tried to speak up he was shut up and yelled at by him mum. Then one day he had enough. He packed a small carrier bag and ran. Very far away. Growing up Austin remembered that he was close to a few of his mother's relatives across town and so went to live with his grandmother, who always loved Austin greatly and happily accepted him coming to live with her in discovering what happened.

His dad was jailed a short while after the birth of Austin's last sibling, Keith, for another type of assault. Austin completely stayed out of touch with his mother after the incident at home, except for the rare awkward occassions when the pair would bump into each other in town and nervously say their greetings before making an excuse to leave. Austin looks after his grandmother as a carer, as a few years ago there was an accident which almost killed her and she hasn't been the same since. The one thing that Austin never let go of was sport. He loves rugby, football, you name it. He can run fast because that's all he's done over the years. Sport is the number one thing in his heart, except for his grandmother. He doesn't mind the singing and DJ thing and he adores parties. The mates come easy, the girls come easy, the parties come easy for Austin.

Maybe a little too much so. After getting his grades back and hearing he'd been docked down a year, Harriet was very dissappointed in her young grandson. She gave him a long nag about school but even though the boy insisted that he was shaping up his act he never did. So, not wanting to disappoint her any further, Austin took her word for it and enrolled in one of the finest boarding schools around. Daze.

APPEARANCE: Austin stands tall at 6'5, a muscular fella from all the activities he does. He has dark skin and a dark complextion to match. He has a matured look to him with stronger facial features. His eyes are a deep brown color, but usually hidden by some round, dark shades. His hair is brown and springs up into a slightly more tamed afro. Austin has both ears pierced with a usual diamond stud in each, and usually a silver necklace of some sort. Never gold. He has plenty of tattoos that he got done at some random party by a guy just for the hell of it, and always says with a knowing nod that there's a rather intresting story behind each one.
