HISTORY:

Chris's early childhood was as normal as normal could be. Born in Westchester, NY, his parents doted on him, he went to a small school within walking distance of his house, he had plenty of friends. There was only one little hitch. His parents wanted another child, but his mother couldn't have any more. Doesn't sound like his problem, and frankly he didn't even understand what that meant at the tender age of seven. But it was that one little hitch that would change the course of his life forever.

For an entire year, his parents went through the adoption process, the paperwork, the long hours. Finally, one day his parents got the call that a five year old girl on the other side of town was up for adoption. They were invited to come meet her and spend a few hours with her. At first they were reluctant because it would mean that Chris would have to walk home from school alone -- something he had never done before. At eight years old, Chris was confident he was big enough to do it. And so his parents reluctantly allowed it, leaving to visit the little girl while he was still at school.

It was the worst mistake they ever made.

Chris never made it back from school that day.

What eight year old can resist the promise of a brand new bike, especially if the man offering it promises to take him to his parents to ask if it's okay? Chris certainly couldn't. And it cost him the next six years of his life.

Until he turned fourteen, he lived as a captive and slave in the home of a paroled pedophile. When he hit puberty and became undesirable, he was left in the woods to either die, or be found. Fortunately, he was found by a pair of hunters who turned him over to authorities.

Due to extreme abuse that shredded the muscles and nerves as well as an infection, Chris's right leg had to be amputated. He is in a wheel-chair because of it, though he is capable of walking with crutches. He's elligible for a prostetic leg, but his family can't afford it along with all the other expenses.

Now, two years later, after a lot of therapy Chris has put the past behind him and is ready for a fresh start here at Daze.

APPEARANCE: Small framed and skinny, Chris would stand at 5'6" if he could stand. He only weighs about 100 lbs, but doesn't really look like a skeleton. His light blonde hair is slightly curly and is a little on the long side, framing his face and occasionally hanging in his laughing blue eyes. He has a wide, open, friendly smile that tends to draw people to him; it's mostly a facade though, to hide how much he still hurts inside. He wears jeans and t-shirts with button-down shirts on top. He wears a tennis shoe on his left foot and has his right shoe taped to his right pant leg. (He gets less questions that way.)
