HISTORY: Cassandra was never a very popular girl growing up through Jr. High . She lived with her mother and her older brother Liam who was the football star . He was her role model who she went to for advice . Not having a dad was hard but they pulled through all the fighting and yelling . He left first when her brother was born , but he came back in a few months . When she was born , he left when she was 2 and never returned .

Cassandra always thought that it was her fault why her dad never stuck around , but she didn't let it get to her and she focused mainly on her schooling . Getting B's to keep her mom happy and so she could actually go to college when she graduates . Even though she isn't quit sure on her career , she will figure it out . Her classmates are all going to be lawyers and nurses , her friends are going to be veterinarians and police officers , but Cassandra is different and doesn't like the same things so she drifted away from them once she got to high school .

Grade 10 was hard to go through with no help . Her friends were now ex-friends , her boyfriend wasn't really there when she needed him so they broke up , her brother left for college , and her mother was now on the verge of becoming an alcoholic . She didn't like what her mother was turning into so she tried to help by packing everything up and moving . She new starting at a different school in the fall will be different but she needed different , and so did her mom .

It wasn't hard for her to leave everything behind . It was all pretty much gone to begin with . Moving just made it more final . Cassandra packed everything they could fit in the small car they had and drove the long drive . Thinking the entire way about her plan to move forward and be happy .
