HISTORY:
Zool was born in a rough area in the south of Russia. His parents were involved in a fight that the town and a few towns surrounding it had been involved in for years. Of course, parents only want the best for their children, but that sadly was the last thing that Zool was given as a child. His parents tried though, saving up enough money to buy a small house in what was supposed to be the safest area in town. But even there it wasn't safe. From Zool could walk he had to learn how to handle a gun or his parents were terrified he would be attacked if they left their sight. Or even if he didn't. The fighting gradually got worse until it broke out into a kind of war. The city went into poverty, food was shortened, and there was murder sprees among the town killing hundreds of people. This eventually went as far as to Zool waking up to his mother shaking him and screaming to wake up, as the whole house was on fire around him. The family of three, one including Zool's heavily pregnant mother, escaped with only minor burns. They took a long trek into the forest with about 40 other people, starving and weak, some with huge injuries from the previous night's attack. Eventually they made it to the center of the forest where a camp was set up for refugees. Zool and his family were fed and given new clothes and armed with guns. That way, if there was any more rebel attacks on the tribe, they were armed and ready.
While the family were there they also met new people. Zool was more shyer as a child and cowered away from the other boys, so he didn't have any friends until he met Aine. She was very bubbily despite the childrens' unfortunate lifestyle, and the sweetest and kindest girl that Zool had ever met. The pair instantly clicked and went everywhere together, cracking jokes, making up their own language, and spending hours and hours playing and talking and laughing about everything. Zool's parents met David Terri, an ex-soldier from the army slightly older than Zool's father who was fond of Zool as Zool was of him, calling him "Uncle Davie."
When Zool was 10 his bittersweet life took another unfortunate turn. There was an attack from another rebel tribe that left the whole safety of the camp hanging on a thread. The attack was long and a lot of people were injured......including Zool's parents. Only a small amount of people were okay by the end of it. Zool's parents didn't recover from their injuries and they died a short whiler later. Their dying wish was that David raised Zool, as if he was raised by David then they knew he was okay. David agreed and took Zool as his foster son. As the camp had few people in it, David left, taking Zool with him. Zool knew he would miss Aine greatly but he enjoyed life in the army with his new foster father. He wasn't allowed to properly be in the army, but he was raised as a cabin boy. When he was 14 he was allowed to be a lookout and carry a small pistol and penknife. Just in case. Then, aged 16, on one lookout through the woods he came across a 16 year old girl who was wandering on her own. At first glance, he didn't reconise her, but at second look he realised it was his childhood friend Aine. After hugging and saying their welcomes, Zool found out Aine's mum and dad had died so he welcomed her back to his home where he looked after her.
There was another large attack the next year, and this time Aine was heavily injured and rushed to hospital. It was only then Zool realised he'd fallen in love with his best friend, and he was overjoyed when he found out that she felt the same way. They started dating when Aine got out of hospital. David and Zool stayed in the army, having a few close shaves before finally, the year after Aine and Zool got married, the fighting had ended. Zool's son Aitan was born when he was 22, and he was more than happy with his life with his family. But then Aine got sick. Zool tried to stay away from work to look after her, and then David got heavily injured because of an accidental wound, and because he was an older man he wasn't able to walk without crutches anymore, so Zool was raising Aitan on his own while trying to care for Aine and David too.
David never fully recovered, and niether did Aine. She died. Grief-stricken, Zool raked his head through for what he could possibly do without his precious Aine. Aitan needed him, and so did David. Then he remembered that Aine and he had planned to move before she got sick to America. Well, the weather was better, there was more jobs, and more fighting had broke out again so he would be moving Aitan and a heavily injured David out of there before something happened. He had saved up enough money to move out of Russia and made his way to America where he settled down and studied hard as a teacher before he passed. Eventually, Daze gave him a call. This place was his fresh start.

APPEARANCE: Zool has a slightly rough apperance. He can have a scatchy stubble or a thick but trimmed beard, depending on whether or not he bothers to shave that day. He is a very tall guy, very broad built, with a natural dark complextion. David often tells him that he looks like his father, but he's more like his mother in ways. He has chocolate brown eyes and brown hair.
