HISTORY:
Othello is Maya's 1/2 brother. They share the same mother but different fathers. Othello was raised by his father in Seattle. Othello learned to play the guitar when he was 5.
As a child Othello was always a trouble maker, he was either caught picking on someone or he was stealing something. He spent time from age 7 to age 14 in juevy.He met Maya at age 14 while working in the hospital giftshop where Maya's mother was being treated for cancer.
Othello asked about who Maya was, when Maya was paying for a teddy bear and she opened her wallet and he saw a picture of his mother in her wallet. After he had gotten off of work they sat and talked for hours about their mother and their lives. They had exchanged phone #'s and quickly became best friends. Othello would go with Maya everyday to visit their mother.
Maya's father treated Othello like a scum even though he was his wife's child. But that never stopped Othello from visiting Maya and his mom. Othello attempted to teach Maya to play guitar but it was a complete disaster but it brought the siblings closer together.
When their mother passed away Othello was devastated and fell back into his bad habits. He began stealing and was very rebellious. After spending 3 months in juevy, his judge gave him the ultimatium that he had to either go to Daze or he would be tried as an adult and face jail time for stealing a TV. So Othello chose to go to Daze seeing as how his sister goes to school there.
