FAMILY: she has no family, except for her parents. Her twin brother, Edwin, died of brain cancer at twelve years old. She hasn't really gotten over it, but doesn't think about it as much as she used to. They were very close. Her mother and Leila are close in no way, but her father and herself are much closer.
HISTORY:

So, she was born on the 23rd of January, along with her twin brother, Edwin. Leila had no other siblings. She liked her family the way it was; small. Growing up, she always had a large group of friends but always included her brother, Edwin, with them. She had always been a good student, and had always planned to be one. Of course, she had other interests, such as music, sports, her friends, and trends.

When her and Edwin were nine, Edwin was diagnosed with Brain Cancer. It was extremely hard on the family, especially Leila, but she tried to act as if it didn't happen and as if he was his same old self. Except he wasn't. At the age of eleven, he lost the ability to move. He was paralyzed. The doctors told them he'd die on January 23rd. They were right. He died on his birthday, so Leila's most hated day of the year is her birthday.

The past three years were the hardest Leila had ever gone through. For the first year, she was nothing but depression. Nobody wanted to be around her. She was pulled out of school and began homeschooling. The second year got better. She returned to her school, but instead of her straight A's, she was a straight B student. The third year was the best. She was enrolled into Daze High School, and things got better. She got happier.
Her grades averaged to A-, she started sports once more, and picked up her guitar. Trends were a thing to follow, once again. She never worried about being popular, or having the most money. She wasn't nerdy, just smart. She no longer felt depressed.

Leila had finally gotten back to where she was before. She also had friends again. Leila still felt sad, but it didn't show. She was a bright, happier person. Not as happy as some people, but happier than others. But since her brother's death, Leila has more fits. She gets mad at the littlest things. She started to like parties more. Her style also changed. She went from somewhat preppy, to emo {when she had her first and second years of her brother's death,}, and she's more scene now. But she's still a happy person, but she's changed.

APPEARANCE:
Leila has light brown hair, in a scene style. It is very long, sometimes with different colored streaks. She has greenish eyes. She stands at about 5'4, and is about a pound underweight. Leila does not use much makeup whatsoever, except for eyeliner and chapstick, and sometimes eye shadow. She has no piercings except for seven in each ear. She doesn't like them, except for ear. Her style is jeans {usually skinny; any color}, or cutoffs/shorts, and any shirt, she doesn't care.

She loves to follow trends.
She likes to play sports, but not too many. Mainly soccer, but she swims and horseback rides sometimes.
Leila likes to have friends; which is a good thing, since she has a few.
She likes music. She knows how to play the guitar, the flute, the sax, the drums, and piano. She likes to sing also, but music isn't such a huge thing. She just practices and listens.
Leila likes getting good grades, though it isn't such a big thing for her at all. She wouldn't care if she was failing.
