Her most distinguishing features are her tattoos, piercings, and scars from her step-mother.

Personality Overview:
Catherine is a very passionate person. She isn't that hard to get angry, and she's almost never seen in a very happy state, less when she's just gotten a letter or email from her father or aunt. Her greatest fear is letting someone into her heart only to have them hurt her. She distrusts people, and hates to rely on them. Cat is a solitary person, but she'll stick up for anyone who needs her. She detests preps who think they're above everyone. . . or rather, people who think they're above everyone.[/right]

General History:
Catherine Isabella Earnshaw was named after her mother. Her parents met when they were 15 at a private school in New York City. The two had Cat when they were sixteen and the elder Catherine died in childbirth. Jeremy was given full custody of Cat, her maternal grandparents feeling she was too much a reminder of what they lost. Catherine's maternal aunt had always kept an eye on the girl though. Jeremy finished school and attended NYU where he met his wife, Carol.

The woman hated Cat and beat her. This was covered up. Whenever Carol would go overboard in one of her "fits", she would take Catherine to the hospital. The elder woman would threaten another beating if Cathy told the truth about her injuries. Instead the doctors began to believe the child was a klutz. Her life only got worse when her little brother came along. If Junior was injured at anytime when Cat was around, well, nothing good happened to the girl.

When Ellen came it was too much for Catherine. She spoke to her aunt and the woman filed for custody. Jeremy Earnshaw I agreed to keep the situation out of public eye. He was a successful business man who ran one of the largest companies in New York City.

Anette moved, with Catherine, to San Fransisco, to get away from New York and the girl's father and step-mother. There they lived a good life. Just before Catherine was to start high school, Anette Thomas got married and her husband was transferred to New York. To avoid Cat seeing her family, Anette suggested that Cathy go to the local boarding school. The girl reluctantly agreed and was sent off while Anette and her husband went to NYC.

Catherine gets letters and emails from her father once or twice a week. She usually ignores these. And she gets them daily from her aunt. She's taken to avoiding them as well. her past has made Cat believe that people only want to hurt you.[/left]
