Appearance:Amalia is about five foot eight with long dark brown hair that she either straightens or lets dry naturally, so that it curls loosely. Her dark eyes glitter in delight with a smile that lights up her whole face whether it is a happy smile or one of sinister delight. Her slender yet curvy body is toned firmly due to her workout routine. For the most part, Amalia wears clothes that make her look cute and are appropriate for the occasion. Usually, she’ll try for comfort, but sometimes style wins. Amalia likes the concept of a tattoo, but she hasn’t found a design she likes yet. As for piercings, she has two in both ears. Something that Amalia always wears is a gift from her brother, a simple silver ring with her name engraved on the inside.

Personality Overview: Amalia is a pretty mellow girl who just enjoys having fun. Her semi-bubbly personality is countered by her calm demeanor when necessary. She is very focused on her goal of getting into an ivy league college after boarding school, but she is organized enough that the school work gets done with all her partying. Amalia loves music and has no dislikes in that department, so long as whoever it is that is playing or singing does it well. She dislikes rude people, and those who pick on other for fun. In those moments, she can become a real witch to protect her friends.
Amalia won’t waste her time with any guy. Yea, she likes to flirt and have fun, but a relationship for her needs to be real and true. Until that time, she just likes to casually date and flirt. Amalia isn’t into hardcore drugs, but she has done pot a few times and she likes to drink; vodka is her number. Dancing and going to clubs is her weekend, but a romantic date for her would be an evening on the beach, or a day in the park, or a night out on the town. Once in awhile she doesn’t mind staying in, but she is a social creature, who loves making friends.[/right]

General History: Amalia comes from a happy family, or it was a happy family. Once, the whole family did everything together and was unbelievably close. They were a happy bunch, the four of them. Summers were spent traveling abroad to places like France, Germany, and Spain. Sometimes they would go to Aspen in the winter. They loved to travel and family meant everything to them. Although they went on holiday, the family spent every American holiday with their extended family at their home in Boston (well, right outside Boston). Then everything changed.
It was two years ago, when Amalia was fifteen, that Julian joined the Army. Before he left, he gave Amalia a birthday present, the ring that she wears all the time. It was about six months later that he died in a bombing overseas. After the funeral, Amalia and her parents became distant from each other. Things seemed to change, Amalia felt at a complete loss. It was then that she received a letter from her brother that had been delayed due to security issues. In the letter, he wrote to her about how much he missed her and his hope for changes with the war. He then mentioned how he had talked to her parents about sending her to a private school, a wish of hers.
Upon confronting her parents, she learned about the plans they had been discussing, but they had forgotten about it in all the tragedy. The two of them, distant from each other and now her. They were getting lost in their work and silence filled the house. Unable to watch her parents suffer, no longer feeling close and with no one to talk to, she wanted to leave. Julian had been the glue for the family and without him, she felt nothing. Amalia needed to feel again.
Once she got the paperwork filled out, she was on her way to forgetting home and work toward a goal that her brother knew she could fulfill given the chance. She never talks about Julian, but she wears the ring and moves on with her life unable to let herself stand still in time like her parents. For Julian’s sake; he wouldn’t want her to.[/left]
