HISTORY: Born in Barcelona, Spain, Arimet Mardia Duarte was the illegitimate daughter of Don Mauricio Lozoya and his cook, Teresa Duarte. Teresa thought that the Don loved her and would leave his mean wife after she proved that the child she bore was his. But, not all things go as we hope they would, and Teresa found this out the hard way. The Don's wife sent her cook packing as soon as she found out that the little girl named Arimet was a child borne out of wedlock, saying that the child had no place in her father's home. The Don was sympathetic, though, and gave Teresa enough to leave the country and start new somewhere else. So, leaving her life, friends, and embarrassment behind, Teresa and her baby started for the land of the free, home of the brave: The U. S.

Arimet had always known that her family was different, but didn't fully see how different it was until her seventh grade year, when all the girls in her class talked of the Father Daughter dance. She told her mother of this and expressed her longing to find her father. After weeks of pleading and begging her mother to allow her to look for her dad, Teresa finally caved and made Arimet a deal. If Arimet would give up having a quinceanera, they would raise enough money to find the Don in Spain. Arimet willingly agreed, and the two of them started saving money for Spain.

Finally, after two years of hardcore penny pinching, Arimet finally set foot in Barcelona, Spain. Drinking up the sights, the smells, and the beauty that was Spain, Arimet was in awe of the city she wsa born in. After a month of being in Barcelona, Arimet grew restless, and pestered her mom nonstop about meeting her father. Teresa reluctantly caved in, and within a matter of days brought her daughter to the front steps of the Don's villa.

Upon their first meeting, Arimet knew that the Don was her father. His most handsome and striking features were her own, and in that moment, she felt that she belonged there in Spain with that man. Left alone to converse with the man, Arimet tried to make the best conversation she could, explaining that he was her father and that, although she yearned for a relationship with him, she would respect whatever decision he would make and take it like a mature adult. He was responding well, smiling and nodding, taking it all in stride, when they heard a horrible scream from the foyer; the horrid scream of the Don's wife.

To make a long story short, The Don's wife cussed Teresa out in spanish, calling her and Arimet all sorts of horrible things, and even took that extra step to slap the poor woman. Seeing her mother defenseless, Arimet looked back to the Don and apologized. Then, she lunged at the woman and fought her as best as she could. It took the power of the Don, and three of his house servants to pry the teen off of the woman's body. And as the Don asked her to leave, Arimet bid him farewell knowing that that would be her one and only meeting with the man.

Arimet had always known two things. One, her mother loved her more than anyone she had ever met, and Arimet reciprocated that love. And two, she had her life, the life her mother had fought so hard to give her, the life she loved. Now, standing in the airport, watching her mother leave her to travel alone to Daze, she knew a third thing. Arimet hated her step-mother. Passionately.

APPEARANCE: Arimet is five feet three inches tall, a little taller than some of the girls that she knew, but still shorter than most people. She has dark brown, wavy hair that falls to her mid-bicep and bangs that go straight across her forehead and fall directly on her eyebrows. Her eyes are bright blue, sparkling and brilliant when she is happy, and dull and dark when mad or sad. Her skin is fair. She isn't chubby in any way, but that doesn't mean she's all muscular and whatnot.
