HISTORY:
Lara was always 'that kid'. The one who didn't have any friends growing up. The tomboy, the gamer. The one who liked her guitar more than she liked people. She wasn't ever much of a student, either, far too concerned with her own affairs to care much about what teachers thought. However, to keep her parents off of her back, Lara had a fun time tricking her grade school teachers into giving her A's. She grew up in Quebec, Canada.
The only one who ever truly understood Lara was her twin brother, Dante. He was the sappy one, who infected her with his sense of chivalry and romance. They were both bastard children, raised by their mother, only seeing their father at Christmas-time. Their mother always favored Dante, seeing her daughter as a truant and someone who needed to conform to the way things really were.
When they hit high school, everything changed. Lara turned into a socialite (more or less), while her brother faded into the backdrop. She found a solid group of "hipster" friends, while Dante joined all the poet societies. They still stayed close, even when things changed. In the middle of their freshman year, tragedy struck. During a prank executed by some of their class' jocks, Dante was thrown into the swimming pool. They had no idea he couldn't swim. He was found the next morning by the boy's water polo team.
Of course, Lara receded. She couldn't stand school, her friends, or even her mother- they all reminded her too much of her brother. Finally, she decided to move to her father's in San Francisco. She bounced around schools for a year or so before ending up at Daze in her Junior year.
