HISTORY:
"Did you know? Asians, in general, have a lower chance of having twins? Maybe that was the reason why I was so weirded out by the fact that I had a sibling in the same year as me... it just didn't happen." In the Shizuoka Gakuen's annual photo there was only one set of twins. The Matsumotos.

From the beginning, Kimiko hasn't really felt unique. Her and her sister had the same DNA; they were treated as if they were the same person. The same hair, the same eyes, the same clothes... it was as if she didn't have a life of her own, trapped in a little world with her sister. It was as if their parents enjoyed having two dolls to dress and take care of.

By middle school, their "identicalness" had irritated the twins to the stage that they'd started to force themselves to do different clubs, eat different foods and pretend to like different people. Her splitting from Konata had split her from the popular kids, making her an "outcast" or a "wanderer"; flashing red lights to bullies. Everyday they kept attacking her;

"Ew, genetical FREAK."

"What's with you? It's like you got all of the bad genes in your family?"

"I'm so lucky I wasn't messed up before I was born."

Kimiko even got to the stage where she was "lending" money to her bullies, so that she could be friends with them. She couldn't turn to her sister; some of her bullies were friends with Konata after all. She found herself falling into a downward spiral, with her grades falling and her parents' mistrust growing...

During her 3rd Year, her parents got a promotion where they had to move to America. Of course, Kimiko was begging for them to go. She'd been hoping for an opportunity to flee her school. Tokyo. No, Japan. A spring break and a plane flight later, Kimiko was in California, ready to start over.

APPEARANCE: At 5'3", you can hardly call Kimiko "model-like". She's thin with a slightly longer torso in comparison with other people, the main reason why she wears skirts. She has unnatural brown hair with lighter streaks, which is cut at shoulder-length. You usually find her wearing a self-customised t-shirt with an short skirt/shorts, teamed with the all-american Converses. And jeans when it's too cold for them. Even though she seems like a bit like a tomboy, she does wear heels when she wants to.
